Gongs

Ancestral instruments with powerful low vibrations, for deep relaxation, altered meditative states and the reharmonisation of overall energy.

The gong is among the oldest instruments in the world. Through the ages it has served many functions, resonating in classical and modern music as much as in spiritual practices or sound therapy.

Today mainly crafted in Nepal, India and China, gongs are recognised for their ability to bring about deep bodily relaxation thanks to their low, powerful vibrations. Like singing bowls, they are hand-forged according to ancestral craftsmanship, from an alloy of seven metals. When a gong is set in motion with a large mallet, it diffuses waves that vary with its composition, thickness and hammering: this unique set of characteristics gives each gong a singular tone and vibrational frequency.

Therapeutic virtues

There are several families of gongs - notably the Solar, Lunar and Lung gongs - each with a specific vibrational quality suited to a precise need during a treatment or a Bön shamanic ceremony. According to the medicine of the soul, and like singing bowls, gongs work on overall reharmonisation and on raising the vibrational rate - whether of a person, a place, an object or a food.

Gongs rebalance the subtle bodies and support deep well-being through vibrational work:

  • Emotional release and memory deprogramming: gongs act deeply on the energetic plane thanks to their powerful vibrations, dissolving blockages and restoring energetic flow.
  • Shifting the state of consciousness: the low frequencies of gongs induce theta and delta waves that foster a deep meditative state.

What you will discover in the training

The “Gongs - level 1 & level 2” training immerses you in the depth of ancestral practices and passes on the full richness of the fundamental knowledge of gongs, through these key teachings:

  • The different families of gongs, their specificities (Solar, Lunar and Lung) and their vibrational functions within a treatment;
  • The gestures and handling of gongs;
  • The transmission and practice of vibrational protocols and treatments rooted in Bön shamanic traditions and the medicine of the soul.
